Quick answer

Restrictions differ by country but fall into the same groups: whether the product is legal at all; whether a local licence is required to advertise; minimum age (18+ or 21+); banned channels or time slots (for example TV hours or sports sponsorships); limits on bonuses and ‘free’ wording; content rules (no appeal to minors, no success claims, mandatory responsible-gambling or age notices); and data and privacy rules. Adult-related offers are illegal or heavily limited in many countries. This is general information, not legal advice — confirm each market with local counsel.

Key takeaways

  • Legality first, then licence, then ad code.
  • Age limits are 18+ or 21+ depending on country.
  • Bonus wording is one of the most regulated areas.
  • Not legal advice — check each market.

The seven restriction groups

  • Product legality.
  • Local licence requirement.

How Adsun helps

  • CPM or CPC bidding with daily budgets and instant pause.
  • Country and language targeting to stay inside permitted markets.
  • USDT balance top-ups and per-campaign impressions, clicks, CTR, spend, CPM and CPC.

Worked example

Hypothetical example — not real Adsun or competitor data

A licensed casino tests $500 on two networks for 7 days. Network A (CPM): 250,000 impressions at $2 CPM, CTR 0.4% = 1,000 clicks, CPC = $0.50, 20 FTDs → CPA = 500 ÷ 20 = $25. Network B (CPC on Telegram Mini Apps and bots): bid $0.10 = 5,000 clicks, FTD rate 0.6% = 30 FTDs → CPA = 500 ÷ 30 ≈ $16.70. The cheaper CPM does not decide the winner — cost per depositing player does.

Adsun measurement methodology

Adsun Editorial & Ad Operations compiled this guide from public ad-policy pages of the major platforms, regulator guidance and our own experience operating a Telegram ad network. Competitor networks are described by category only; their terms change, so verify each network’s current policy. No Adsun gambling performance data is published here; numbers are hypothetical and labelled as such. See the SDK documentation for integration details.

Is gambling advertising banned in some countries?

Yes. Several countries prohibit online gambling or its advertising entirely; others allow it only for local licence holders.

Where can I check the rules?

Start with the national gambling regulator’s website, such as the UK Gambling Commission or the Malta Gaming Authority, and confirm with local counsel.

Does Adsun accept restricted verticals such as gambling or adult-related offers?

Restricted verticals are reviewed case by case. Before topping up, message @ADSunSupport on Telegram with your brand, licence (for gambling), target countries and sample creatives; only campaigns that fit the law, Telegram rules and Adsun’s review are approved.
